Things to do
For visitors to Çalış there is a wide choice of activities and day trips suitable for all ages
Walking in and around Çalış you will see lots of kiosks and shops selling trips and excursions. It is very easy and straightforward to organise everything yourself, The friendly, English speaking guides will help you at every stage.
Boat trips
Daily small boat trips from Çalış Beach set off each morning, offering a relaxed day on the turquoise Aegean — swim stops at secluded coves, time for snorkelling over colourful reefs, and a leisurely lunch on board. Boats glide along the coast past rugged cliffs and pine-clad headlands, with opportunities to visit nearby bays for swimming or just to relax and sunbathe on the decks. Friendly crews ensure every trip is an easy, relaxed family‑friendly way to explore the coastline.
Bigger, busier yachts and boats leave from Ölü Deniz and Fethiye and these can be booked in Çalış complete with mini bus pick up.
Jeep Safaris
A fun day out for all the family.
Travelling in a convoy of open top jeeps pass through Turkish villages to the Trout farm at Tlos with its icy cold pools and streams.
Next stop is the famous Saklikent Gorge where the icy waters from the mountains have carved a 300mm chasm into the rocks. Explore the gorge as far as you dare. A buffet lunch served in the shady shelters together with a cool drink provides short respite.
The day usually ends at a nearby beach. The adventure has many surprises - be ready to get hot, wet and muddy.
All the agencies you will see in Çalış are reliable but we do recommend Fethiye Lovers (who organise all our transfers).
